Financial Independence.  It is Women's Work.

From budgeting and investment principles to family and retirement considerations, this workshop helps women better understand personal finances. It discusses the need to define dreams in order to make them achievable, ways to balance short- and long-term goals and processes for day-to-day money management. You can create your own financial independence, but it requires action!

Speaker:  Yvonne Dean, CFP(R), FIC

Yvonne joined the organization in 1995 as a district representative.  She became a divisional sales director in April of 1998, and in August 2002, accepted a position as a regional vice president of Investments with Thrivent Financial.

In 2006, Yvonne became vice president of Trust and Investment Services with Thrivent Financial Bank. In her current role as a partner, she provides leadership within the state of Texas through recruiting and launching new financial representatives. She also mentors and coaches veteran financial representatives to help them take their businesses to the next level.

Yvonne is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional, and a member of the Women in Insurance and Financial Services Association, and the General Agents and Managers Association (GAMA). She also is a national speaker on several financial topics.  Yvonne holds a bachelor of arts degree from Siena Heights University with a minor in management. She is FINRA registered and holds Series 6, 7, 63 and 66 licenses, and life and health insurance licenses in Texas.

Yvonne serves as an executive member of the board of directors for Lutherhill Ministries. She is a former commissioner on the Disciplinary and Ethics Commission for the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. She is a past vice president of the Niles Adult Literacy Council and a past volunteer leader for Relay for Life, Berrien County Youth Fair, Habitat for Humanity, and March of Dimes Walk America.

Yvonne is married to James “Andy” Dean, and they attend Kinsmen Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas, where Yvonne teaches adult Sunday school class. Together, Yvonne and Andy show horses and mentor children with special needs by providing them opportunities to ride and interact with horses.
